Tammy Mittig
Secretary
Meet Tammy, a resilient small business entrepreneur who, despite her disabilities, has built a life of determination and leadership. She raised her son single-handedly, teaching him the ropes of entrepreneurship along the way. Growing up in Oregon, she fell in love with the state and returned there in 1978, working as a truck driver in oil fields, mines, and even for the state itself. A lifelong Republican from a family of the same, she cared for her grandmother in her final years, watching her switch parties too. Tammy's self-starting spirit shines through in her community work, from co-owning toy runs in Salem to feeding the homeless, all while holding supervisory, security, and leadership roles backed by her diploma in accounting and business administration.
In politics, Tammy has been a force for change. She spearheaded the 2019 Flush Down Kate Brown recall and helped launch the Stop the Abuse Gov Kate effort, rallying signatures and pushing for accountability. If elected as Secretary, she'll deliver real action, fighting tirelessly for Oregon's people and values.
Her vision empowers Precinct Committee Persons (PCPs) as the true heart of the party, drawing power from them to turn Marion County and Oregon red. Tammy promises to listen to ideas, facilitate training through state organizations, and build informed, active teams with calling committees. PCPs must stay engaged year-round, not just during elections, to boost registrations and ballots. Together, she believes, this unified effort will flip the state and inspire more to join the cause.
