Whether you were elected for the first time last May or were re-elected for the umpteenth time, you need to circle Friday, 24 July, on your calendar. A perennial question heard (and perhaps even occasionally spoken) by Central Committee members who have hung around a while is, "Just what is it, other than attend a meeting once in a while, that I am supposed to do?" In this three-hour session Friday evening, we are confident you will receive and understand all the answers to that question.
The session will be punctuated by breaks as we complete covering the topics. This will allow you to focus in on those topics of greatest interest to you at your pace. Come for the first hour, leave at the break, and return for the third hour to pick up the rest. We have designed the training with flexibility in mind. Barring the possibility of missing out on that once-in-a-lifetime exchange, you'll still get to take in all the great material to make you the best PCP you can be. Even if you can't take it all in this time, as demand necessitates, we will offer this course again in the coming months.
Jessica Snook, MCR Precincts Coordinator, will be the principal instructor. We encourage you to get familiar with our PCP Manual, which will be referenced throughout the training. We will make digital copies of the illustrative slides and supplemental materials available after the class.
