Dear Friends,

Due to redrawn legislative district maps, I am now running for Senate District 11.. As a result, I am enjoying introducing myself to many new people in the redrawn area. Some of you have been in the old district, and I am happy to continue representing you. Thank you for trusting me twice to serve as your state senator. Some of you were in the old district, but now will choosing a different senator, and some of you are friends from around the state who are interested in what I have been doing. I welcome all of you, especially the people in the new area I aim to represent, to help with my effort to win Senate District 11. I hope you will all support me in the upcoming election, though only some will be able to cast their vote in November. It is important that the State of Oregon have balance. Therefore, the outcome of the Senate District 11 will affect the entire state so I need any help you can give, regardless of where you might live.

If you're like me, you are proud to be an American, and recently celebrated Independence Day. We are truly Blessed to live in America! I visited several events this July 4^th and I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. Happy Birthday, America!

How can you help my campaign? One way is to use your Political Action Tax Credit. You might be thinking, in the midst of these tough times, that your don't have any extra money to help in my campaign. Fortunately, Oregon has a one of a kind tool to help you help my campaign. It's called the OREGON POLITICAL ACTION TAX CREDIT. Almost every Oregon State income taxpayer (some are excluded if they make too much money-check with check here for details) can take $50.00 per individual and send those dollars to a political action committee (PAC) and get every dollar back as a credit.
