With the short legislative session and vital elections ahead, it is time to set about the work to which we have pledged ourselves. But first, let's prepare for it. Marion County Republicans' PCP Coordinator Jessica Snook has brought together her award-winning 5-star-reviewed PCP training and a specially-developed training to interact with legislators. Two training experiences rolled into one!
In 2022 the Legislature will be addressing more than the usual policy battles. With the elections come districts reconfigured and new numbers. Now is the best time to get up to speed on how PCPs can get involved and make their voices heard during session and elect great Republicans to local, county, and state offices, and Congress. After all, with the Capitol a part of our back yard, Marion County Republicans have the best opportunities to help shape policy. Join us for training about how to most effectively communicate with your legislator, how to read a bill, and how to track bills as they move through the legislative process.
The first hour of the training will be geared toward newer PCPs and cover the basics of being a PCP, how we fit into the Oregon Republican Party structure, and some suggestions for following Marion County GOP on social media. The remaining five hours will focus on what goes on inside that marble mausoleum we know as the Capitol, how elections shape what can be accomplished, and why PCPs have an important role to play in both environments. If any one or more of the following applies to you or your loved ones with whom you are in direct contact and you would like to attend a training, please contact Jessica to arrange alternative training opportunities.
