The 2014 campaign season is off to a great start and the Marion County GOP has lots of great activities planned in the coming months. We hosted a candidate forum at our last Central Committee Meeting and attendees had the opportunity to listen to and get to know candidates for local and state-wide office. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the candidates. If you were not able to attend this informative meeting, click here to view the candidates and the Q & A afterwards.
Marion County Republicans are out and about in the community and want to meet you! We are hosting a series of Meet and Greet events all over the county:

On January 25th the Western Liberty Network hosted the first U.S. Senate candidate debate. Four of the five candidates appeared together before about 150 political activists at the conference: State Rep. Jason Conger of Bend, technology consultant Mark Callahan of Salem, former Linn County Republican Chair Jo Rae Perkins, and Portland pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Monica Wehby. Tim Crawley, a Portland lawyer, did not meet the criteria required to participate in the forum. You can watch the debate in its entirety here.

Remember: “3 for 4” – It starts by you contributing $4 per month to the MCGOP. Then ask just 3 people to do the same. Those 3 people then ask 3 more and, well, you see where this is going… For the cost of one coffee drink per month, you can make a direct impact on local elections and help us build a strong grassroots team here in Marion County.
