MCRCC Weekly Wrap — December 5, 2013

Welcome to December, that wonderful time of year filled with peace, joy, and shopping?! The Marion County Republican Party is busy this time of year as well and we wanted to share a few ideas with you as we gear up for the 2014 election cycle.

Our ultimate goal is 80% GOP voter turnout for the 2014 election. That’s an increase of several points from the last election and it’s very doable. The best way to reach this goal is through fund raising and we accomplish this by means of our county motto: 3 for 4! You’ve heard our chairman, David Darnell, mention this numerous times but you may not know exactly what it means. 3 for 4 simply means 3 PCPs ask 3 people to contribute $4 per month to the MCGOP. Those 3 people then ask 3 more and well, you see where this is going… For the cost of one coffee drink, you can make a direct impact on local elections and build a strong grassroots team here in Marion County.

Here’s a bit of marketing you can use to build this county into an effective communications machine:

Elections will be won with SOMEONE’S money…

A. Unions

B. Big Business

C. Special interests

D. You

These groups select the candidates via their contributions. “He” who has the “gold” rules. WHO would you prefer choose Marion County candidates, and our Senators and Reps at the national level? Are the elected officials you voted for voting in your best interest? The message gets out there via contributions.

Here’s how you can help us change and impact the message There are 56,000 registered Republicans in Marion County. If 2 out of 10 of them decide it’s their money they want winning elections, and contributed monthly, that would mean $40,000 per month for MCGOP to spend on messaging about candidates and issues. That is only about 11,000 of the 56,000 registered. It is enough to OUTSPEND Unions, Big business and Special Interests, COMBINED. It would also mean the conservative MCGOP would drive the political climate at the capitol…not the three aforementioned groups.

That’s the power of the people in action. Think about it…. $4 per month from about 11,000 people.

Unions do this through their monthly “dues,” only, it is forced. We are nicer. If you agree, call or email us and we can make it happen.
