Friend, I just wanted to update you on how things are going on the campaign trail. We are covering the district with door knockers and literature and getting the word out so I can serve you in the Oregon Legislature! But I could use your help. One urgent need is more volunteers for phone banking. Would you consider joining us at our campaign office at 660 Capitol St NE in Salem on October 3rd or 5th? Please contact our office by emailing: [email protected]  You can also help by putting up a yard sign at your home or business. Again, just contact us or stop by the office some weekday!  I've met with so many different people over the last few weeks and months but I wanted to highlight one today. I had a very helpful visit with Dan Clem, Executive Director of UGM (Union Gospel Mission) regarding strategies to resolve and not just address homelessness in the Salem-Keizer area. UGM is not government-funded and has a successful approach. I will build on these ideas as we develop a legislative agenda to get the state engaged with local government and nonprofits to support a comprehensive approach to this major concern.
