The general election takes place this year, as in every year, on the first Tuesday following the first Monday of November. Translated: Tuesday 4 November 2014. Given that Oregon conducts its elections entirely by mail and counties can begin mailing ballots all of 20 days before the election and no later than 14 days before, ballots will begin to hit mailboxes on Thursday, 16 October.
As a public service, Marion County Republicans offers these two pages — one page for candidates and one page for issues submitted to the public for our vote — so that interested voters can learn a bit more about who is seeking to serve them in our County, State and Federal governments and study up on the policy issues we must decide. Naturally, and without excuse, we present here only the Republican candidates and the point of view taken on the issues is definitely that of a limited-government conservative Republican. On the other hand, we also provide links to campaign web sites whenever possible so that you can learn more about the candidates or issues of most interest to you.
We hope you will appreciate these pages and take advantage of the resources presented here. READ ON!
