Dear Friends, It's no secret that Oregonians' cost of living has skyrocketed in recent years. An annual analysis conducted by CNBC found that the Beaver State is now ranked the fifth-most expensive state in the country. To make matters worse, a recent economic analysis conducted by Lensa found that the average wage in Oregon has fallen 7% behind the cost of living, the second-largest gap in the country. As your State Senator, I fought against cap and trade, low carbon fuel standards, the commercial activity tax and so much more, all of which have contributed to the high cost of living in our great state! I will continue to do this and work hard to lower the cost of living in Oregon. I believe we have a very good chance of taking back the State Senate and if we do, watch what happens! https://www.cnbc.com/2022/07/13/these-are-americas-10-most-expensive-states-to-live-in.html Thanks, ![]() Kim Thatcher ![]() Would you help me financially? You can use your Political Action Tax Credit. You might be thinking, in the midst of these tough times, that you don't have any extra money to help in my campaign. Fortunately, Oregon has a one of a kind tool to help you help my campaign. It's called the OREGON POLITICAL ACTION TAX CREDIT. Almost every Oregon State income taxpayer (some are excluded if they make too much money - check here for details) can take $50 per individual and send those dollars to a political action committee (PAC) and get every dollar back as a credit. Would you send my PAC $50 or $100 today to help me connect and fight to win my election? Remember that your contribution, up to $50 per filing individual or $100 per couple could qualify for Oregon Political Action Tax Credit and cost you NOTHING!
